I submitted something! NO WAY!
I fell in love with this undead-like insect queen thingy the second I saw her.
I wanted to experiment in photoshop anyways, so I put some effort in finishing it and here you are.
I quite like PS so I might just switch software :D

You say software, I have only had experience with paper and pen/pencil. I LOVE what you guys do with these computer art programs. Where is the best place to start in terms of software to get into this kind of art work. Drawing with a mouse seems difficult....

It's almost impossible to make decent looking art with a mouse in painting software. Maybe in illustrator or vector based programs.
You just have to get a graphic tablet and paint tool sai. The best for a start.

Seems like Wacom tablets are the main market huh? I see prices from $60 to freakin $2,000!! Holy hell! Paint Tool Sai seems like a free download which is nice. So uh, how much em I looking to spend for a decent tablet? We're not made of money as I'm sure you know, but I'm willing to save up if need be, but not two grand!! :O

Wacom is a high-end product. The wacom stuff are the best you could get. But I don't have one either unfortunately. I have a genius one. It does what it has to, so it should be enough for a starting one. In the beggining, a small cheap tablet will do. I started with a $35 tablet.
